Week 1 Class assignment
Class,
I had a great time in class today working with you! I hope you walked away feeling challenged and interested. We have a lot to learn this year, but I think you will enjoy the journey.
As far as homework, this week is a light one. Read the first 15 pages of OWMC, define and review your vocabulary words, and find one current event on any major world event that intrigues you. You can look for influences of cultures, religion, politics, and even sports. Write up a sample paragraph like the example under current events. I won't grade this one, but you will discuss these in class and we will talk about how we can improve the following one, which will be graded.
Extra credit assignments are open now. You can tackle any of the films you like, just clear them with your parents first, if needed.
Also, House points challenge this week is get your group together for a selfie with Preston Atkinson, the pastor of the building we meet in. This can be turned in anytime during the first month, but more points go to the first group to get a copy to me. :)
