Please spend some time re-reading Ferdinand's "Requerimiento of 1510," and consider this ordinance in light of what you understand about postcolonial theory. Write a brief one-page response. You have freedom here to respond any way that you desire. You can focus on the three C's (compelling, confusing, controversial) or you may analyze the document with a postcolonial reading. You can even describe your own reaction to such a document.
